The essentials
You choose what to share. File contents go directly to your paired device. Connection services and advertising SDKs process additional information, as described below.
01. About this policy
This policy currently covers Komodo File Transfer (com.komododev.fs) on Android and iPhone. It explains the app’s file-transfer features, service providers, advertising and optional purchases. Future Komodo Dev apps will be identified here when added.
02. Files & device information
You choose which files to send, and the receiving device accepts the incoming request. File contents travel directly between the paired devices using WebRTC. Received files, transfer records, recovery checkpoints and preferences may remain on your device. The camera is used to scan pairing QR codes.
03. Connections & service providers
Local Wi-Fi discovery exchanges connection information on your network. For P2P, Cloudflare signaling processes temporary session identifiers, device names and network connection metadata. STUN services help discover public network addresses. These services arrange connections; they do not relay the transferred files.
Signaling rooms expire within five minutes or are removed when closed. This room lifetime does not describe retention of all provider or security logs.
04. Advertising & privacy choices
The app integrates Google AdMob and Google’s consent tools. Depending on configuration and consent, advertising can process IP addresses, approximate location, advertising identifiers, interactions and diagnostics. Privacy choices are provided when required by the consent tools.
Eligible banners appear on Home, Wi-Fi and P2P. Transfer and Files pages do not show ads. Rewarded video is optional; temporary ad-free time is granted after the ad SDK confirms the reward.
05. Subscriptions & payments
When available, optional ad-free subscriptions use Google Play Billing on Android and Apple’s store billing on iPhone. Purchases belong to the corresponding store and purchasing account; Android and Apple subscriptions are separate. The app does not request your payment card number. Purchase verification may process transaction identifiers and purchase proof.
06. Storage, deletion & your choices
Manage completed files in the app, or use your device’s app-data controls for local storage. Disconnecting does not remove completed files or resumable checkpoints. Copies on another device, in exported folders or in another app are managed separately. There is no separate Komodo account.

07. Children & families
Komodo File Transfer is intended for people of all ages. The final policy will describe age-appropriate advertising, consent and data handling before public release.

08. Policy updates
We may update this policy as apps and services change. This preview describes the app during development. The final policy and its effective date will be published before the app’s public release.
